This class will be presented by Christian Doula and Traditional Midwife, Autumn Hadden IBCLC and clinical mental health professional, Daniel Hadden CDCA

You will learn all about the anatomy and physiology of labor and birth, physical and emotional changes of moving into parenthood, comfort measures for late pregnancy and birth, preparing for birth, choices in childbirth, postpartum planning and wellness, baby care, breastfeeding, and how our faith and our God fit into this great transition.

Hands on experience, class activities, deep discussions, and real life videos reinforce everything we learn in class and will leave you feeling empowered and ready for everything that is to come.

There is a $80 fee for this course, but we offer a sliding scale so that could be discounted or waved based on your family size and household income.

This class will be held at Vineyard Church of Delaware County at 1001 W. Cherry Street, Sunbury, OH

We will meet from 10am to 12pm on four Saturdays in a row from April 15 – May 6, 2023

Final Doula Training of the Year

We have scheduled our final doula training of the year and are excited to announce that it will be a 2.5 day in-person, hands-on workshop that will be held at Northgate Church in Sunbury, Ohio from December 16-18, 2022. This is a fantastic opportunity to either give the gift of training to yourself or ask for it as the perfect experience gift this Christmas. This is a gift that will continue giving through you and your future work as a doula in your community!

Birth Skills Workshop

We are putting on a skills workshop for folks interested in learning more about normal pregnancy and birth care. This is geared towards student midwives, assistant midwives, and parents wanting to complete their own prenatal care and birth unassisted.

If you know us, you know this will be from a Christian perspective, but everyone is welcome! There is a $60 fee for this 8 hour class.

Some topics to be covered are: vital signs, fundal measurement, palpation/belly mapping, normal labor and cardinal movements, fetal heart tones, sterile technique, basics of resuscitation, helping with hemorrhage, and more!

Come join in community with others who share similar interests and values and practice the skills that can equip you to better help birthing families.

Weekly Birth Circle

We are hosting a weekly gathering of expectant parents, those trying to conceive, families in the postpartum period, and anyone who works to support these families! Join us at the Community Library of Sunbury, OH at 10:30am every Friday for community building, learning, sharing, and supporting each other through this great transition.

Learn how to tell what position your unborn baby is in, weigh your breastfed baby, try out a birth ball or rebozo, listen to your baby’s heartbeat with a fetoscope, ask any and all questions related to pregnancy, birth, and parenting, share your fears surrouding birth and parenting, tell your positive birth story, and be held by your community.

This will be led by Autumn Hadden, who is a lactation consultant and doula.

On Demand Prenatal Nutrition Class

Our wonderful Registered Dietitian, Alyssa Broadwater, has put together a really great on demand Prenatal Nutrition class to share with you all! This 36 minute pre-recorded webinar will explain the most important nutrients for a healthy pregnancy, how to get those nutrients, and how to help common pregnancy discomforts through what you eat!
