September will be our next 3-day training workshop that is part of our Certified Christian Doula program. This workshop will be Friday September 10th from 8am-4pm, Saturday 11th from 8am-4pm, and Sunday 12th from 12-4pm

In this workshop you will spend three days in community with other Christian women who feel called to serve women through childbirth and will learn everything you need to know to begin your journey as a doula.

In addition to this workshop you will be required to read The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin and Christ Centered Childbirth by Kelly Townsend, attend 3 births and document the experience, write a personal statement, and take an exam before you receive your official certification.

The fee for this certification is just $400, and there are scholarships and payment plans available. We want to make sure that cost is not a barrier for anyone who is called to this ministry.

This training will be held in Delaware, Ohio at Pregnancy Resources of Delaware County located at 652 W Central Ave #30 as they have generously offered us the use of their space for this training

“Body Literacy and Fertility Awareness for Women” is presented by biological anthropologist, IBCLC, and Doula, Autumn Hadden, and covers topics such as female reproductive anatomy, hormonal cycles, fertility signs, charting fertility, achieving or avoiding pregnancy, how breastfeeding affects fertility, and naturally enhancing fertility. Christian Childbirth Education Series

We are so excited to announce that we will be offering a full 6-week childbirth education series from May 15 through June 19, 2021. This series of classes will be from 10am to 12pm each Saturday.

This series is titles Faith Over Fear: Holistic Birth from a Christian Perspective and will be an all encompassing childbirth education. This course covers all of the anatomy and physiology of birth, but also dives in to the emotional changes associated with becoming parents and how to stay rooted in your faith and reliance on God through it all.

These classes will be held at Vineyard Church of Delaware County which is located at 1001 W. Cherry Street Sunbury, OH and will be taught by Childbirth Educator, Liz Weirick and our Lactation Consultant and Doula, Autumn Hadden.

Free Nutrition Class

We will be holding a FREE class at Atone Chiropractic in Polaris on Saturday February 20th at 10AM entitled “Nutrition for Pregnancy and Breastfeeding”.

This class will cover your changing nutritional needs throughout the childbearing year as well as foods to avoid and those that are extra beneficial. It will be taught by biological anthropologist and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant Autumn Hadden.

Free Monthly Class

We will be offering our FREE Breastfeeding Basics class once per month during 2021! Always the second Saturday at 10AM

This class will be held live over Zoom and will be interactive. You will learn everything that you need to know to get started breastfeeding from our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and meet other local families in the process!

On Saturday, December 19, 2020 we will be holding a 1 hour virtual class over Zoom that will cover everything you need to know to get started breastfeeding your new baby.

From birth preparation through the immediate postpartum and beyond you will be prepared with:

  • what to expect
  • how to get breastfeeding off to the best start possible
  • how to be reassured that baby is getting enough
  • what signs mean you may need to call a lactation specialist for a little extra help

Free Belly Mapping Workshop – Oct. 31st

Join us at Atone Chiropractic in Polaris for a belly mapping workshop and discussion on optimal fetal positioning during pregnancy and birth.

You will learn how to feel were your baby is and draw a sketch of your baby in their current position on your belly. It will be a “window” into your womb and a great bonding experience for you and your partner to get to know your baby a little better.
