Certified Christian Doula

The training for the Certified Christian Doula program is a 24 hour training that is held either:

• In-person three day intensive workshop
• Online over 5 weeks with pre-recorded video lectures and weekly zoom meetings
• Hybrid combination of 5 weekly pre-recorded lectures and a one-day hands-on in-person skills training

In addition to the required workshop you will need to complete reading assignments, write a personal position statement, and pass an exam.

Through this training you will learn about:

• what doulas are and what they do

• how doulas affect labor and birth

• Communication and Counseling Skills

• anatomy and physiology of birth

• normal birth progression

• labor and birth complication

• the risks and benefits of interventions

• breastfeeding support

• how labor and birth affect the parents

• trauma informed care

• emotionally supporting parents

• physically supporting laboring moms

• tips and tricks to helping labor progress

• being an advocate

• how to pray for the parents you serve

• postpartum healing and mental health

• working as part of the birth team

• past birth trauma and helping parents process the birth experience

• how to truly be a “woman’s servant” during this amazing transitional time in her life

• and so much more!

Plus you get bonding and community building with other local Christian women that will last beyond the training!

January 17 – February 19 2022 (ONLINE)

April 18 – May 21, 2022 (Hybrid; weekly recorded lectures, in person hands-on training May 21 in Delaware, OH)

December 16 – 18, 2022 (In-person workshop)
